MY STORY
Sisterhood began after my own initiation into motherhood - first through a cesarean birth that left me raw, then a healing VBAC that redefined my strength. The lack of support I experienced after my first birth became the spark to build my own community and show up for others.
It started in my living room in 2018, as yoga circles and text threads for new moms - small spaces for real conversation and care. What began as a local sisterhood grew into a practice that now supports mothers at every stage, from pregnancy to postpartum and beyond.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What’s an Ayurvedic doula?
An Ayurvedic doula combines traditional postpartum care with ancient Ayurvedic practices focused on restoring balance, digestion, and vitality. Using warm oils, gentle touch, and nourishing meals, the goal is to support healing, prevent depletion, and ground the mother’s nervous system. Ayurveda views the postpartum period as sacred - a window where rest and nourishment deeply influence long-term health.
Research shows that postpartum support significantly improves recovery and mental health outcomes. Families with doula care experience fewer complications, higher breastfeeding success, and lower rates of postpartum depression and anxiety. A doula provides emotional grounding, physical care, and informed guidance - helping you transition into motherhood with confidence, rest, and connection.
Yes, clients who book La Suite can add birth as part of their ongoing care. I believe continuity of care creates safety and ease - it allows us to move from pregnancy through birth into postpartum as a unified experience. Starts at $2,500.
Yes. Every in-home visit within La Suite includes nourishing food prepared with Ayurvedic principles - warm, grounding, and easy to digest. Meals are designed to replenish energy and support milk supply.
Why would I need prenatal education?
Prenatal education helps you feel prepared and less anxious as you approach birth and postpartum. Learning about newborn care, lactation, and early recovery before your baby arrives allows you and your partner to move through the first weeks with clarity and confidence. Evidence shows that prenatal education can reduce feeding challenges, support bonding, and even lower stress responses after birth.
When should I book postpartum care?
Ideally during your second trimester so we can design your support plan and reserve space in the calendar. Last-minute requests are sometimes possible depending on availability.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. Lactation counseling, education, and text support can all be done virtually. Hands-on services like Le Soin are available only in-person.
